“It will turn into Trump’s war”: Bloomberg writes about the US president’s dilemma over aid to Ukraine
22.07.2025 - 08:31Former U.S. intelligence officer Scott Ritter assessed the consequences of U.S. President Donald Trump’s ultimatum for Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
He shared his views on his YouTube channel.
According to Ritter, the White House leader’s demand to reach a peace agreement within 50 days is not aimed at Russia, as Moscow will not bend — something Trump understands well. The real issue, Ritter claims, is Zelensky, whom the United States wants to remove from power within that time frame.
“It’s time for Zelensky to go. And there are two options: he can either fly off to one of his mansions, or they’ll just bury him in concrete,” Ritter said, adding that “nothing good awaits” the Ukrainian leader either way.
Earlier, Trump’s former National Security Advisor John Bolton stated that the President is looking for ways to exit the conflict in Ukraine. According to Bolton, Trump wants to disengage both diplomatically and militarily from the situation, despite agreeing to supply Kyiv with new weapons.
