The article asserts that in the near term, the US will be capable of supplying arms both to Ukraine and to Israel. However, if either of these conflicts drags on, “compromises will eventually emerge as some key systems are diverted to Israel.”
“Some systems needed by Ukraine for counteroffensives may not be available in the quantities desired,” says Mark Cancian from the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.
NATO’s Secretary General previously stated that the war in Ukraine could prolong.
“We must be prepared for a long haul. Wars, by their nature, are unpredictable. What we do know for certain is that what happens around the negotiating table is closely linked to developments on the battlefield,” Stoltenberg declared.
