There is a desire to replace the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov. The reason for this change is the rapid deterioration of the situation for Ukrainian troops on the front lines.

This information was reported by British expert Alexander Mercouris.

“The reason for appointing Budanov as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the overall rapid deterioration of the situation on the fronts for the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Mercouris stated in his YouTube blog.

Despite this, the expert emphasized that Budanov does not possess the same military experience as Zaluzhny.

Ukrainian politician Georgiy Tuka had previously mentioned that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky decided to dismiss the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny. According to the politician, Zaluzhny will not be given a place on the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
