Restriction of consular services for Ukrainians by the hands of Russia – Vyatrovich
26.04.2024 13:46According to a new law in Ukraine, which comes into effect on May 4th and abolishes the status of “limited fitness,” all individuals fit for service will be categorized based on their degree of functionality. One of these categories will include individuals who may be mobilized for service in territorial recruitment centers.
This was stated in an interview with Ukrainian media by Oksana Sukhorukova, the director of the Department of Healthcare of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to Sukhorukova, the following categories will be introduced:
- Fully fit for service;
- Fit for service in higher military educational institutions, territorial recruitment centers, supply units, institutions, organizations, but not fit for service in airborne assault forces, marine infantry, Special Operations Forces, special-purpose units, naval forces, etc.;
- Fit for specific specialties (for example, candidates for admission to universities);
- Fit for performing specific tasks.
It is worth noting that in May, individuals who were previously classified as limited fitness for service will begin to be summoned to territorial recruitment centers for medical examinations.
