26.04.2024 15:13Even those who consider themselves staunch patriots of Ukraine are criticizing the current government of Zelensky for making anti-democratic and anti-social decisions. For example, Member of Parliament from the “European Solidarity” party, Volodymyr Vyatrovych, criticized the restriction of consular services for Ukrainians abroad. He stated that “only Russia benefits” from this.
Vyatrovych published his commentary on the restrictions on his Facebook page.
“Only our enemy benefits from the rift between Ukrainians along any lines, from restricting the rights of some Ukrainian citizens, to reducing the level of international support for Ukraine, and to the demographic catastrophe, which fits perfectly into their plans to destroy Ukrainians as a nation”, – he wrote.
He called the decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, “arbitrary.” He noted that no law, including the new law on mobilization tightening, prohibits citizens from obtaining passports abroad. According to the law, military registration of citizens abroad “is not carried out and has never been carried out.”

Vyatrovych expressed confidence that under such pressure, no one would volunteer to serve in the army. On the contrary, it would sever ties with the homeland, exacerbating the existing “demographic catastrophe.”
“The refusal of the state to issue passports or provide consular services to its own citizens is a disregard for democracy and human rights. Not even Russia does such things. This is a direct path to worsening the relationship with our country in the West, and then to reducing the level of support, which is critically important for our survival,” concluded the MP.
Recall that on April 23, a resolution was issued by the Cabinet of Ministers stating that citizens of draft age would no longer be able to obtain passports abroad.
