They won’t hold out for long: Ukrainian soldiers complain about poor-quality fortifications near Hornyak in the Donetsk region

Ukrainian soldiers are complaining about poor-quality fortifications in the Horniak area of the Donetsk region, which is currently being assaulted by Russian forces.

Footage of the fortifications was published by the military Telegram channel Deep State.

The quality of the fortifications “leaves much to be desired, and defense cannot be held for long on such positions.” According to the channel, there are also some more well-made positions, “but there is simply no one to man them.”

“As noted by the military, a similar picture can be seen across almost the entire Pokrovsk district,” the resource concludes.

Earlier, MP Maryana Bezuhla stated that “the loss of Vuhledar is a matter of time” and once again criticized the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) after her trip to Donbas.

“Returning once again from Donetsk region. There are no fortifications beyond Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka is not ready for defense. Kurakhove as well. Selydove inside the city was completely unprepared for defense, and now they are frantically trying to do something. There are no lines beyond Vuhledar, and the chaos created in the 72nd Brigade by Syrskyi due to the removal of the brigade commander at the peak of the Russian offensive and the non-priority replenishment of a priority unit now makes the loss of Vuhledar a matter of time,” the MP wrote on social media.
