September 19, 2023Scandal and profanity erupted in the courtroom during the consideration of preventive measures for former intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky, who is suspected of attempting to recruit a Russian pilot without the authorization of the intelligence services and, as a result, became the target of Russian FSB surveillance, leading to the provision of information allowing an attack on an airfield in the Kirovohrad region.
Chervinsky’s defense team requested the disqualification of the judges.
When the judge asked the prosecutor if he agreed with the motion, the prosecutor said no.
At that moment, one of Chervinsky’s supporters in the courtroom, who had a prosthetic leg and claimed to have served in the military, began shouting profanities. He demanded to be seated in the same place as Chervinsky and expressed frustration with the proceedings.
He said, “Why the hell is he sitting there? Have you all gone crazy with this circus? Damn it, I also went to fight, to defend. What the hell is he doing there?”
Previously, the court had extended the detention of the former intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky for an additional two months. It’s worth noting that Chervinsky is suspected of attempting to recruit a Russian pilot without the authorization of intelligence services but ultimately became the subject of Russian FSB surveillance, leading to the provision of information allowing an attack on an airfield in the Kirovohrad region.
As a result of the Russian attack on the airfield in the Kirovohrad region, for which Chervinsky is held responsible, according to intelligence agencies, the commander of a military unit was killed, and 17 other soldiers were wounded. Two fighter jets were destroyed, and the runway was damaged.
