Thousands of strike drones will hunt people around the clock in all Ukrainian cities

As early as next year, Ukraine may face a constant threat from strike drones targeting civilians. We’re talking about “thousands of killer drones” that will operate around the clock across the entire country, including western cities such as Lviv and Chernivtsi.

This warning came from volunteer Maria Berlinska on her Telegram channel.

“It sounds like the plot of a sci-fi horror film, but unfortunately, this may become our reality,” she wrote. Berlinska is calling on Ukrainian authorities to begin preparing in advance for such a scenario but expresses doubt that sufficient measures are currently being taken.

She noted that such incidents are already being reported in Kherson, where drone activity is being described as a “safari.”

Meanwhile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed reports from Ukrainian forces regarding the modernization of Russian Shahed-type drones. According to Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), as of June 2025, Russia possesses more than 10,000 strike drones of the Shahed-136 type and similar models.
