Sviatoslav’s mother, Katerina Posokhova, shared this story on her Facebook page.
According to her, the family moved to Ternopil shortly after the start of the war. For two years, the boy went to the city library near the school, read many books there, and had no complaints. But he was refused service at the larger regional library.

“Here we found out that the child in Ternopil is ‘not one of us,’ so what kind of books can there be for ‘not one of us’? For two selected books (old and in disgraceful condition), they billed us 600 hryvnias at the subscription. This is supposedly a deposit because there is no trust in us. We were sincerely surprised. To which we heard all this about ‘you can write “Glory to Russia,” “People like you have already taken many books from us.” But who are we? We are officially registered in the city, we work, we study – the child goes to a local school and has excellent achievements,” the boy’s mother writes.
