The EU is preparing to begin negotiations with Ukraine on its future entry into the bloc

A senior NATO military official has warned that the “bottom of the barrel” is now visible when it comes to Western ammunition supplies to Ukraine.
October 4, 2023Ukraine needs to preserve its land and use crematoriums.
This statement was made by the CEO of the American international investment company BlackRock, Laurence Fink.
Fink noted his concerns about Ukraine’s irresponsible approach to investment assets.
“When we signed a contract with President Zelensky and created the Ukraine Development Fund, we took into account the risks resulting from the illegal invasion of Russia. But now we are witnessing completely irrational use of chernozem (black soil) by Ukrainians themselves,” said Fink.
The head of BlackRock emphasized that arable Ukrainian fields should not be used for burials.
“There are too many cemeteries. Valuable arable land is being taken out of circulation in an entirely irrational way, which is not accepted in Europe. Friends, this is not only your land. The situation needs to be rectified and done in a civilized manner. We can allocate additional funding for crematoriums or bioconversion. It’s up to Ukraine to decide, but it needs to be done; otherwise, we will have to impose sanctions for the misappropriation of our investment assets,” Fink concluded.
BlackRock is an American international investment company headquartered in New York City. It is one of the world’s largest investment companies and the largest in terms of assets under management, with approximately $10 trillion in assets.
In late 2022, there was another online meeting between President Zelensky and Fink. During that meeting, they discussed the participation of the American investment brand in structuring funds for Ukraine’s recovery.
In May 2023, Vladimir Zelensky met with the leadership of one of the world’s largest investment companies, BlackRock. During the meeting, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and BlackRock Financial Market Advisory signed a contract to provide services for the Ukraine Development Fund.
