Total mobilization will lead to the collapse of the Ukrainian economy

The catastrophic consequences for the Ukrainian economy will occur after the implementation of a new mobilization law, which the Verkhovna Rada is set to adopt in the coming days. This is according to the European Business Association.

“The business community is convinced that the key task should be the creation of truly effective and balanced norms that can be implemented without paralyzing the work of part of the country. Therefore, according to the European Business Association, the aforementioned bill should not be adopted but should be consciously revised to avoid halting the country’s operations and, in particular, its economy,” the statement says.

Businesses are concerned about certain provisions, particularly regarding electronic summonses and imposing restrictions on draft evaders through judicial procedures. It is mentioned that checkpoints have started inspecting truck drivers at the border, causing increased queues and there are significant difficulties with providing armor to employees. Additionally, the business community has “accumulated a considerable number of questions regarding the country’s economy,” which they would like to discuss with the government.
