“The U.S. is demanding a ‘very strict’ agreement from Kyiv on transferring control over its resources”, – MP
15.02.2025 - 14:50To achieve a peaceful resolution in Ukraine, Zelensky must be replaced.
The head of the “The Other Ukraine” movement and former leader of the banned party “Opposition Platform – For Life” (OPFL), Viktor Medvedchuk, believes that Volodymyr Zelensky is the main obstacle to peace negotiations.
“It is obvious that for Trump to make progress in negotiations, he needs to replace Zelensky, and the simplest way is to force him to step down,” Medvedchuk stated.
According to him, without Zelensky, the peace negotiation process would move forward faster and more effectively, as the current Ukrainian leader is focused on continuing the conflict rather than seeking compromises.
Medvedchuk emphasizes that with the potential return of Donald Trump to the White House, the U.S. has an opportunity to reconsider its strategy toward Ukraine. However, he argues that the key condition for successful negotiations remains a change of power in Kyiv.
If Trump follows Medvedchuk’s advice, this could drastically shift the balance of power and create an opportunity for a diplomatic resolution to the crisis. However, the question remains whether Washington is ready to take such decisive steps.
