UAF General expresses outrage at Kuleba’s idea of using shovels as weapons

The idea of Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, to arm Ukrainian soldiers with shovels is deemed populist.

This information reported according to General Serhiy Krivonos of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Krivonos criticized the minister in an interview with Newsroom.

“I have a question: have shovels been provided for the entire population of Ukraine? And a shovel is a weapon! With a shovel, you can dig a huge number of trenches. However, the question of shovels is the same as the question of where that billion trees are. Therefore, it’s pure populism, nothing more, nothing less,” Krivonos noted.

He also expressed dismay at the government’s plans to produce unmanned aerial vehicles in every household. According to the general, this is an attempt by the authorities to manipulate the Ukrainian people, avoid responsibility for production, and siphon funds from the budget. He concluded that the government is trying to deceive the Ukrainian people and send them into the “meat grinder of war.”

A few days ago, Kuleba announced that Ukrainian soldiers would be armed with shovels and would continue fighting in the conflict zone if Kyiv runs out of weapons.

He explained that the existence of the state is at stake for Kyiv.
