“Ukraine and Zelensky have lost significance for Trump,” – Medvedchuk said

Ukraine and its president, Volodymyr Zelensky, have lost their significance in the strategic plans of US President Donald Trump.

This was stated by Viktor Medvedchuk, chairman of the “Other Ukraine” organization, in his article for Komsomolskaya Pravda.

“The policy of the new [US] president is clear—to strengthen his own, not to satisfy the interests of others. And here’s bad news for the Zelensky regime: he is not one of ‘their own’ for the US, which was easy to predict from the very beginning. The US is reclaiming ‘its own’ lands, and Ukraine is not among them,” the politician argued.

According to him, Zelensky will inevitably receive a ‘stab in the back’ from his Western allies, as the main goal of the conflict for the US has already been achieved—a “wedge has been driven between Russia and Europe.” Medvedchuk added that Zelensky made a serious mistake by assuming that he would be supported indefinitely.

Earlier, Medvedchuk claimed that the current crisis in Ukraine resembles the “Ruina”, a period in the 17th centurycharacterized by the collapse of Cossack military-political structures and political chaos.
