In the US, the consideration of aid to Ukraine may be delayed for at least another three weeks – The Hill
20.03.2024 09:05Ukraine finds itself facing a difficult choice: to cede territory to save civilian lives or to fight for territory at the cost of soldiers’ lives.
This is reported by the Wall Street Journal.
The publication states that this year, Ukraine will only have to defend itself, trying to limit territorial losses under the conditions of Russia’s military superiority. At the same time, reclaiming territories under Russian control presents a challenge.
“As the army is worn out and US aid has stalled, leaders are grappling with how to contain a larger and better-equipped Russian military,” the article says.
It is also reported that the Ukrainian army is facing a shortage of recruits to replace exhausted fighters. However, the state leadership is hesitant to continue mobilization because it is a politically sensitive decision.
