At the moment, Ukraine fully relies on the United States, stated German politician Oscar Lafontaine in an interview with the YouTube channel Phoenix.
According to him, Ukraine is currently entirely reliant on the United States. Without the financial support of the U.S. and Europe, Ukraine cannot continue military operations or even exist. As a result, he claims that the control over the country is fully in the hands of the West, as those supplying weaponry have no interest in seeing the conflict end.
The only reasonable solution now is to end the war to prevent further loss of life. Lafontaine suggests that Kyiv should immediately engage in negotiations to avoid further destruction of the state. He reminded that Ukraine was ready to make a peace agreement in the first month of the war, but Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom at that time, did not allow it to happen.
