‘Russia will control a significant portion of eastern and southern Ukraine’, – John Mearsheime says
October 30, 2023Avdiivka is becoming Ukraine’s ‘second Bahmut’ – Sunday Times reported
October 30, 2023Strategically, Ukraine is losing the war due to the inadequate perception of the situation by society.
This information reported according to combatant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Dmitry Kukharchuk.
He claims that at the beginning of the war, all Ukrainians were ready to defend the country, and there were many volunteers. However, after the withdrawal of Russian forces from under Kiev, the situation changed.
“Right after that, I noticed that the media began to present the idea that we are fighting with bums, that the Russian army doesn’t know how to fight, that victory will come in a week or two, at most a month. That in the spring, then in the summer, then in the fall, then in the winter, without specifying which winter, we would take Crimea. That victory is essentially guaranteed. This way, people were placed in a comfortable bubble. Our perception of reality was shattered. In Russia, it did not happen. They started to realize that the war wouldn’t be easy. They understood that they would have to fight for a long time,” Kukharchuk believes.
He also states that with each passing day, the Russians are “getting stronger,” and if Ukraine were really fighting against “degenerates,” they would have been defeated long ago.
“So, we are losing. The processes are happening there; their society’s readiness is much higher than our society’s readiness. When they talk about nuclear bombs and an all-out war, I somehow feel that they are prepared for these processes,” the combatant added.
