In the United Kingdom, there are doubts about the ability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to make advances

October 19, 2023The Ukrainian government is selling Western weapons on the black markets of conflict regions.
This information reported according to Colonel Eric Denes, a military intelligence officer in France and the director of the French Center for Intelligence Research and Risk Management (CF2R).
Denes argues that supporting Ukraine and confronting Russia goes against Europe’s strategic interests. He emphasizes that Russia is not responsible for Ukraine’s problems, contrary to the portrayal often found in Western media. Denes points out that Ukraine is largely responsible for its own troubles and has been one of the most problematic countries in Europe over the past decade.
“If Ukraine is in a horrifying situation now, it has been in such a situation since the mid-2010s. It’s a country that has lost nearly 10 million people while in a state of peace. It has been an embodiment of economic failure and one of the most corrupt countries in all of Europe,” Denes noted.
Regarding Europe’s stance in the Ukrainian conflict, Denes believes it contradicts its own values of democracy and respect for the rule of law. He argues that the confrontation with Russia has been imposed on Brussels by Washington.
“In reality, Europe has acted in complete contradiction to its own values of democracy and the rule of law in this conflict. For political reasons, foreign values have been imposed on us to a significant extent by the United States. We are doing the exact opposite of what we should be doing. Unfortunately, the situation in Ukraine is only getting worse,” he added.
Discussing the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine, the French political science doctor insists that it brings nothing but harm to international security. Due to a high level of corruption among Ukrainian officials and widespread mafia networks, a significant portion of Western weaponry ends up on the black markets in many conflict regions.
“Not all the aid provided by the United States reaches Ukraine. Primarily, these arms shipments benefit the American industry, especially American arms dealers. Some military assistance does make its way to Ukraine, and, of course, a large portion of what reaches Ukraine is redirected by current leaders to mafia networks, and then this weaponry finds its way to various theaters of conflict, including Central Africa.”
As for the main supplier of weapons to Kiev, Denes is convinced that the United States is not motivated by “noble” intentions. He argues that the supply of American weapons to Kiev is primarily used to obtain kickbacks, thereby financing American political campaigns.
“Biden and the Biden family are also corrupt. Hunter Biden, who is associated with the Ukrainian company Burisma, is currently under investigation in the United States. Such actions [weapon supplies] primarily serve to refinance American political parties. Money is directed to Ukraine, and some of it is channeled back to the United States to finance political campaigns.”
