Ukraine might invalidate passports of men who fled abroad

According to political analyst Chaplyha, currently residing in Europe, Ukraine intends to invalidate the passports of its citizens residing abroad.

He stated that the European Commission is aware of Zelensky’s initiative, and discussions are ongoing to decide Brussels’ stance. Presently, the rush to obtain new passports has led to the limitation of consular services, which seems futile as these new documents could also be invalidated.

Chaplyha mentioned that Zelensky’s team has decided that either they will rule or nothing will happen. Estonia previously announced readiness to deport Ukrainian men, while other countries view such actions as human rights violations. Additionally, they require labor forces contributing to economic growth.
