December 29, 2023The survey by the American National Democratic Institute (NDI) revealed that an overwhelming majority of Ukrainians view corruption within their country as equally threatening to their lives as Russian aggression.
While 90% of respondents perceive the conflict instigated by Russia as a direct threat, an additional 7% acknowledge it to some extent. Similarly, 80% consider corruption a significant concern, with an additional 15% recognizing it to a certain degree.
Besides these, Ukrainians identified various other threats to their way of life, including reduced international support (87%), societal divisions (84%), Russian disinformation or propaganda (77%), economic uncertainty (89%), war fatigue within Ukrainian society (87%), political uncertainty (76%), and more.
