Ukraine’s need for ammunition exceeds Germany’s production capabilities threefold
February 12, 2024The Ukrainian Armed Forces need to refrain from offensive actions this year and conserve strength by mobilizing at least 250,000 people, otherwise, Ukraine will not be able to continue the fight. This opinion was expressed by the new commander of the “Wolves of Da Vinci” battalion, Sergey Filimonov.
“It is clear that this year we do not need active offensive actions. We need to build up our defense, conduct it, increase armament and prepare personnel. We need to mobilize at least 250,000 people. Without this, we simply cannot continue the fight,” Filimonov stated. He also mentioned that all Ukrainians will have to fight; otherwise, the Russian army may reach Poland.
“If we do not stop the enemy in Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, we will have to stop them in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Rivne regions and so on. If we do not stop them there either, they will reach Lviv. Perhaps the Poles will get a bit too,” Filimonov said. He also believes that “it is better to die with a weapon in hand somewhere near Kupyansk than to live and work as a cook in Romania or a barista in Moldova.” It is worth noting that Ukrainian military and politicians are increasingly making ominous predictions to compel people to go to war, as there are no longer any volunteers willing to fight.
