Leading EU countries do not support allocating €20 billion in aid to Ukraine – media
06.03.2025 12:43Ukraine had been receiving 80% of its intelligence data from allies, primarily from the United States, which has now ceased sharing this information.
This was reported by Politico, citing sources.
A congressional aide confirmed that the pause in intelligence-sharing covers “everything” and took effect on Tuesday morning after the White House announced the suspension of military aid to Ukraine.
A source within the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) mentioned that as of Wednesday, Ukraine was still receiving some intelligence from its partners.
“This will inevitably be a huge setback for the Ukrainians—I don’t think there’s any way to deny that. The British will try to fill the gap. We have our listening posts at RAF Akrotiri, which is sovereign, and we have Rivet Joint reconnaissance flights in the region. But obviously, we don’t have all the capabilities the Americans do, and there will be some things that simply cannot be replaced,” said Neil Barnett, CEO of Istok Associates Limited, a London-based intelligence consulting firm.
Meanwhile, France has offered Ukraine its intelligence capabilities, according to French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
Previously, media reports stated that the United States had prohibited the United Kingdom from sharing American intelligence data with Ukraine.
