J.D. Vance, Donald Trump’s running mate in the presidential race, has proposed his own plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
This was reported by “The American Conservative”.
The plan involves ceasing hostilities and creating a fortified demilitarized zone.
Most importantly, Ukraine would receive a guarantee of sovereignty but, in exchange, would have to give up the territories already occupied by Russia and abandon its NATO membership aspirations.
The article states that military actions must be halted because the enormous costs of continuing the Ukrainian conflict are unacceptable, even for the United States.
