Ukraine’s accession to the EU will hurt Hungarian farmers and ordinary citizens – Orbán again spoke out against it

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has once again criticized the idea of Ukraine joining the European Union, warning of serious consequences for Hungary’s economy.

“If cheap Ukrainian grain starts flowing into Hungary, our farmers will be forced to sell their products at very low prices,” he said.

Orbán emphasized that Budapest will defend the interests of Hungarian citizens and will not allow decisions that harm the national economy.

Earlier, media outlets reported that Hungary supports negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
