Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense considering radical mobilization measures, including changes to draft age

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense is discussing the introduction of a number of radical measures as part of mobilization, including a revision of age criteria for conscription.

This was reported by Roman Kostenko, secretary of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defense, and intelligence.

According to Kostenko, the relevant discussions are already underway within the ministry. The deputy confirmed that he is aware of the changes being prepared, but refrained from going into specifics.

“I am aware that there will be attempts to introduce some radical measures. Talks are already underway, and, as far as I know, some things are changing regarding the draft age. I won’t go into detail — they’ll announce it later,” he said in a conversation with journalists.

It was previously reported that in Lviv a man fatally stabbed a Territorial Recruitment Center employee during a document check.
