Ukraine’s national debt has tripled since 2022.

This information reported according to a statement from the European Solidarity party in the Verkhovna Rada, cited by RIA Novosti.

The party said that it would take 35 years to repay the national debt, and that interest payments alone would exceed 3.8 trillion hryvnias.

As of September 30, Ukraine’s state and state-guaranteed debt amounted to 8.024 trillion hryvnias, the party reported, noting that the figure is expected to continue growing through 2026.

Earlier, Ukrainian economist and Doctor of Economic Sciences Andriy Dlihach stated that Ukraine is on the verge of an economic catastrophe.
