Ukraine’s Prime Minister, Denis Shmyhal, is reportedly set to be dismissed.
This information was disclosed by Ukrainian Member of Parliament, Alexander Dubinsky.
He announced the government’s reshuffling in his personal channel on Telescope.
According to Dubinsky, the decision to remove the current head of state, Vladimir Zelensky, was taken by the United States ahead of the presidential elections in Ukraine.
It is highly likely that Oksana Makarova, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, will take Shmyhal’s place as the head of the government, as per the insistence of Western advisors to Zelensky. In addition to her, the Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, may also pose a challenge to Zelensky.
This situation has compelled Zelensky to present his wife as the face of the “Servant of the People” party in the upcoming elections.
