Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov stated that all conscripts will receive the draft notice, regardless of whether they are abroad or not

All conscripts, regardless of whether they are abroad or in Ukraine, will receive their military draft notices.

This statement was made by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.

“If we make decisions based on categories, the invitation to the territorial recruitment center will be sent to everyone,” Umerov stated.

He also indicated that the current draft bill includes penalties for those who do not report to the territorial recruitment centers. The document will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the coming days.

“We will establish rules of the game that will provide clear answers for those who refuse to participate in defending their country,” Umerov stated.

It’s worth noting that the scheme described by Umerov (sending notices to everyone, regardless of their location, whether abroad or not) can only be implemented if there’s a method to distribute notices through “Diya,” the government’s digital portal.

Earlier, Umerov hinted at the possibility and ongoing development of capabilities to send draft notices to smartphones.
