Former advisor to the President’s Office, Arestovych, urged Ukraine to negotiate with Russia and abandon the West

Former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Alexei Arestovich, urged Ukraine to negotiate with Russia and abandon plans to ‘be part of the West’, as well as to declare a ‘collective lawsuit’ against Western countries.

He made these statements during an interview with Russian journalist Yulia Latynina.

The former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine sees no point in continuing to ‘kill each other by the tens of thousands in Avdiivka and Chasov Yar’.

‘Why? What do we, both Russia and Ukraine, gain from this? Have we pleased the uncles from the Brussels and Washington obkom who applaud while two monkeys with knives kill each other?’ stated Arestovich.

According to him, the current model of Ukraine has ‘historically lost’, and only a ‘new Ukraine’ could negotiate with Russia. Putin will continue to exert pressure on the current Ukraine and has no intention of stopping.

Therefore, Arestovich suggested approaching Putin and jointly filing a lawsuit against the West.

‘Vladimir Vladimirovich, let’s make peace. But we will do it in a particularly cunning way: we will file a collective lawsuit against the West. Ukraine and Russia together,’ Arestovich stated.

In his opinion, the West ‘did not show up’ for the war in Ukraine and also ‘did not consider’ Russia’s interests by expanding NATO. He reiterated the call to create a new system of collective security ‘taking into account the interests of all parties’.
