October 23, 2024Ukrainian enterprises and organizations that have the right to reserve employees from mobilization will undergo a re-evaluation to ensure they meet the criteria of critical importance to the economy.
This was reported by the “Judicial-Legal Newspaper” citing a resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on October 22.
According to the document, following the review, the authority responsible for verifying the enterprise’s compliance with the critical importance criteria will make one of two decisions:
- If the enterprise does not meet the criteria, its status as critically important for the functioning of the economy and maintaining essential services during a special period will be revoked.
- If the enterprise meets the criteria, it will retain its status as critically important.
As a result of the inspection, if unjustified employee exemptions from mobilization are discovered, the right to defer mobilization may be revoked.
It is worth noting that, by November 15, Ukraine is expected to conduct an audit of critically important enterprises that received this status from local government bodies. This audit was initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ministry of Defense assured that during the audit, the reservation of employees at critical enterprises will not be suspended.
