Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba in China announced readiness for negotiations with Russia

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has already held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in China.

The meeting in Guangzhou lasted more than three hours, longer than planned, according to a source in the Ukrainian delegation.

“It was a very deep and concrete conversation,” the source said.

“I am convinced that a just peace in Ukraine serves China’s strategic interests, and China’s role as a global force for peace is important,” Kuleba stated.

Russian publication “Kommersant” reported that Kuleba expressed Kyiv’s readiness to negotiate with Moscow.

Wang Yi stated that Beijing advocates for a political solution and settlement through negotiations.

It was also revealed that Kuleba mentioned during his visit to China that Ukraine is ready to hold talks with Russia.

“But the negotiations must be rational and practically meaningful, aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace,” Kuleba was quoted as saying by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that Dmytro Kuleba would visit China for talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi about ending the war.
