Ukrainian Member of Parliament, Geo Leros, has won his case in the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court of Ukraine regarding his removal from his position in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament).
He announced this victory on his Facebook page.
“Finally, a victory! Today, I won the case in the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court of Ukraine regarding my unlawful removal from my position in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. I remember and love all the deputies who voted for this unlawful decision. Thanks to my lawyer, Sergey Lisovsky.”
To provide some context, Leros was suspended from parliamentary sessions after the Committee on Rules of Procedure of the Parliament found that he had made offensive remarks about the Security Service of Ukraine and the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, during the discussion of the appointment of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasil Malyuk.
