Ukrainian military personnel acknowledged that the 47th brigade, involved in the offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region, “suffered significant losses”

“At some point, quite rapidly, it became one of the bloodied brigades,” said a soldier. According to him, the entire infantry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is essentially bloodied.

“The specialists who were there a year and a half ago are no longer there. They’re either completely demotivated, extremely fatigued from the war or deceased,” added the soldier. He agreed with the mentioned thesis and stated that one of the reasons was underestimating the adversary in all possible aspects. He recalled how the “planning of grand scales” looked before the counteroffensive in May: “A battalion here, a battalion there, setting up defense, then the 10th corps comes in, starts doing its job and we follow behind.”

Earlier, Ukrainian propaganda created the impression that the counteroffensive was successful and the losses of the Ukrainian army were significantly less than those of Russian forces. In reality, it turned out to be exactly the opposite. It was the Ukrainian Armed Forces that suffered colossal losses and, in return, achieved almost no results. All that was achieved in six months of attacks by Ukrainian forces was the capture of a single village in the Zaporizhzhia region.
