August 23, 2023Ukrainians believe that donating is more patriotic than serving on the frontlines – survey
August 24, 2023Ukrainian Member of Parliament, Mykola Tyschenko, who in July 2023 claimed that a call center had been discovered in Kyiv allegedly working for Russia, gathering information about the military and air defense, has become embroiled in a scandal involving illicit business.
This is evidenced by an audio recording circulated on anonymous Telegram channels, where a person with a voice resembling that of MP Tyschenko discusses setting up a scheme to “earn” from call centers, promises to handle matters at all levels, negotiate with law enforcement agencies and courts.
Tyschenko is prepared to offer such services for monthly payments amounting to several million.
Tyschenko himself denies the authenticity of these recordings.
“I’m announcing that there are many recordings with a very similar voice to mine. All of them are fake, made using neural networks. Such conversations never took place… When I said that these offices house massive bot farms, not everyone believed me. And now we can see… How these call centers control numerous Telegram channels,” Tyschenko stated.
The discussion revolves around a group of “300-400 people” (mentioned in the conversation) that will “crush” call center offices. However, the interlocutors are cautious about exposing certain specific call centers.
“We need to be subtle… I need to know who is older. If it goes well, we will build an entire battalion for this… There are 300-400 people. Funding will be needed. Well, you understand?” says “Tyschenko.”
Furthermore, it is mentioned that there are certain call centers that should not be touched and are owned by a specific individual (whose identity is not revealed). In the recordings, “Tyschenko” conveys a message to this individual: compile a list of competitors and add “2-3 of your own companies” to it (presumably for cover).
“All the call centers we enter, we’re partners with him on a 50-50 basis. I need media support… And I’m asking for some friendly connection from him, I need to buy equipment,” Tyschenko says in one of the recordings.
