Ukrainian soldiers say their own government wants to destroy its population

A wounded Ukrainian soldier shared his opinion on the frontline situation with an American television channel. The fighter gave an interview to a journalist from Showtime, a subsidiary of the CBS corporation.

“We get no support, nothing. We shoot 5 times with something heavy, and they shoot 500 times. I don’t know what plans our government has, but it looks like the destruction of its own population. Capable and working. That’s all,” the soldier said.

In the video, the soldier appears very tired and worn out. It’s unknown how long he has been on the frontline, but for example, in Avdiivka, where Ukraine recently withdrew from, soldiers were stationed without rotation for 2 years. Throughout this time, they suffered losses and now the situation is worsening not only due to a shortage of ammunition but also because of the absence of new conscripts.
