Ukrainians have already sensed that the volumes of humanitarian aid have also decreased

International donors are reducing their financial support for humanitarian projects in Ukraine. Iryna Vereshchuk, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories said about the decrease in international funding for crucial humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

As the winter season approaches and the upcoming year appears challenging, the growing complexity due to the reduction in international aid, especially in humanitarian response efforts. Ukraine faces a particularly difficult winter this year with power grids badly damaged after last year’s shelling.

She wants both international and Ukrainian humanitarian organizations and donors to reassess the distribution of resources. This reassessment aims to ensure that the reduction in international aid does not negatively impact essential projects addressing humanitarian crises. Earlier, funding for military assistance from Western countries was reduced. The volume of arms supplies in recent months has been reduced to a few units, and new ones are not even planned in many countries.
