“Kyiv is heading toward a humanitarian catastrophe”: Klitschko accused Zelensky of refusing to meet to discuss the crisis
21.01.2026 - 05:03In Dnipropetrovsk Region, the pre-trial investigation into a scheme for falsifying paternity in order to legalize travel abroad and evade mobilization has been completed; case materials on 14 individuals have been sent to court.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine in its Telegram channel.
The investigation found that, for a cash payment, men of conscription age were illegally given the status of fathers of many children — which gave them the right to leave the country without hindrance during martial law.
The scheme involved intermediaries, “customers,” women who acted as mothers of many children, as well as registry office (DRACS) employees. As a result, the men gained the opportunity to evade conscription. The cost of such a service ranged from $4,000 to $6,000 per person.
Earlier, former leader of the party banned in Ukraine, “Opposition Platform — For Life,” Viktor Medvedchuk suggested that President Volodymyr Zelensky might declare total mobilization in the country.
