17.04.2025 13:09Poland’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP) has announced the arrest of a criminal group suspected of organizing a prostitution network and engaging in human trafficking.
According to the Polish outlet NewsFactory, 15 out of the 18 individuals arrested are Ukrainian citizens.
The investigation revealed that the suspects primarily exploited Ukrainian women in vulnerable situations. In some cases, victims were given drugs, including cocaine, to coerce them into prostitution.
The group had been operating since April 2023 across several Polish cities, including Kraków, Warsaw, Wrocław, and Poznań. Among those detained are individuals involved in recruiting women, organizing photo shoots for online ads, dispatchers coordinating meetings with clients, and drivers.
The suspects face charges of participating in an organized criminal group, human trafficking, and money laundering. They could face up to 15 years in prison.
