‘We get along great with Putin’: Trump once again promised to end the war in Ukraine ‘very quickly’

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, after winning the Republican primaries in Iowa, once again promised to “end the war in Ukraine very quickly.”

He stated that he gets along “very well” with Putin and “knows well” Zelensky, implying his intention to arrange talks between them.

“We get along great with Putin. We get along very well. It’s good, not bad. If fake news became real and honest news, 90% of our problems in this country would be solved… The situation with Ukraine is so horrible… And we’re going to solve it, we’re going to solve it very quickly. I know President Putin very well; I know Zelensky very well. I can bring him in, we’ll solve it very quickly. This (war) should never have happened,” Trump stated in Iowa.

It’s worth noting that the first voting to select a unified Republican candidate for the U.S. presidential elections took place in the state of Iowa. According to preliminary vote counts and polls, Donald Trump became the leader of the Republican caucuses in Iowa, with over 51%.
