“We have no electricity, but the MPs do”: Ukrainian singer Tina Karol was criticized for a track about the lack of power.

Ukrainian pop singer Tina Karol has been criticized and mocked on social media for several days because of a song about the lack of electricity.

The celebrity posted a dimly lit video on TikTok in which she is sitting with a cup in her hands and not quite in sync lip-syncing to her own track with the following words:

We have no electricity, but we have warmth.

We have no warmth, but we have kindness.

We have no water, but we have us —

We are together, we are a family.

We have no electricity, but we have warmth.

And we will defeat any evil,

Because we love each other

And that’s everything, that’s everything.

Many users are recording their ironic videos to this track and leaving negative comments:

“We have no electricity because the deputies stole the dough. They raised the excise tax, closed the border. No water, I can’t flush the toilet, but while we’re being entertained by such ‘singers,’ I understand that this isn’t the end yet.”

“We have no electricity, but the deputies do. Men are being shoved into cars without permission, but we have kindness. The state took a dump on us, but we’re a family. Thanks for the propaganda song!”

“Tina Karol, this is just mocking people — to put out this shit.”

“How do you warm a baby in high-rise buildings when there’s no electricity for 6 hours, and the apartment somehow doesn’t manage to warm up in the hour and a half when they turn the electricity on?”

“She sang — and went to eat at a restaurant, and people will warm up from the song.”

“We have no electricity, no warmth, nothing to heat food with, we don’t have that either. And we even sleep in jackets, and in the house it’s +5…”
