December 19, 2024Western society is growing weary of the continuous military aid to Ukraine, which is frequently emphasized by their governments.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk made this statement, as reported by Reuters.
“Everyone is saying the same thing, and I feel it in Poland too, that people, ordinary people, are increasingly fatigued by this conflict,” the Polish leader said.
At the same time, Tusk stressed that despite the growing frustration, Western governments are showing a certain level of unity, with the exception of some member states of the North Atlantic Alliance.
Earlier, Tusk announced that Poland would provide a new, 45th tranche of aid to Ukraine amounting to 100 million euros. However, the politician did not specify the exact purpose of the aid or whether it would be military or humanitarian in nature.
The Polish Prime Minister also stated that Warsaw had done everything possible to support Ukraine’s accession to NATO and emphasized that Western countries should back Kyiv’s efforts.
