February 15, 2024The sociological services have published the second survey of Ukrainians regarding their political outlook. This research also brings very bad news for the incumbent president.
94% of respondents expressed maximum trust in the former Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, 66% – in the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirill Budanov, whose rating increased from 60% in December 2023. Only in the third place in terms of trust level was President Volodymyr Zelensky. 64% of Ukrainians trust him, although in December this figure reached 77%.
The survey was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, which is trusted in Ukraine and has been operating for over 30 years. It is worth noting that the very fact of conducting sociological surveys on trust and support ratings usually indicates the imminent presidential elections. However, Zelensky, aware of his poor chances of winning, may decide to continue the war as long as possible until he eliminates or discredits his closest opponents.
