‘The US doesn’t have a ‘magic pot’ from which it can draw aid for Ukraine’ – US State Department press service
December 20, 2023Ukraine is becoming uninteresting to everyone
December 20, 2023In the event of Donald Trump being elected as President of the United States, American policy will become ‘more economical’ and focused on internal issues.
Such concerns were voiced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, during a press conference.
“The possible election of Trump as President of the United States will significantly impact the course of the war in Ukraine; American policy will become more economical and oriented towards internal problems,” said Zelensky.
The next presidential elections in the United States are scheduled for November 2024.
Earlier, The Washington Post reported that the U.S. Congress’s interest in financing Kyiv had decreased to its lowest point, and increasing competition from other national security priorities, including Israel and the southern border, could signal the end of American aid.
The American newspaper, The Daily Beast, in turn, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine fear that amid waning attention from the West due to the conflict in the Middle East, they might have to retreat, possibly even to Lviv. According to the publication, there are also concerns that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may have to ration supplies in case of further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
