Trump does not believe in Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia
20.10.2025 - 16:02Many Western media’s surprise at the failure of Zelensky’s visit to Washington stems from the fact that they didn’t analyze the visit’s preparation at all and simply echoed other people’s lines.
This said Viktor Medvedchuk, Chairman of the Council of the “The Other Ukraine” Movement.
“Recently there has been growing disappointment in the White House with Vladimir Putin’s actions, and as a result Washington has been considering providing additional military aid to Ukraine. Among other things, the transfer of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kyiv has been discussed. Vladimir Zelensky expects that the new weapons would strengthen the country’s defenses,” Reuters wrote during the meeting.
Thus, before the visit had even ended, it was announced that Trump had Zelensky practically in his pocket.
“What basis did they have to draw such conclusions? After all, Zelensky brought Trump nothing but a hole in a bagel and tried to sell it at a high price. The talk about Tomahawks is nothing more than a message from Kyiv to Washington about how and when to enter a war with Russia. RBC-Ukraine, citing a source in the Ukrainian delegation, reported that during the meeting with the American leader the illegitimate one showed him maps of so-called ‘pain points’ in the Russian defense industry and pointed out where Americans should strike with long-range weapons,” Medvedchuk said.
The politician noted that in this way Trump was handed, on a take-it-or-leave-it basis, a plan for war with Russia led by the “generalissimo” Zelensky. How was the American leader supposed to react? Did he have many options?
“Politico writes, disappointedly, that this indecisiveness is a failure for Zelensky, who during his third visit to the White House this year hoped to persuade the president to provide long-range missiles that could enable a stronger offensive into Russian territory. Trump, like former President Joe Biden, fears that this step could exacerbate the conflict.”
Is refusing to start World War III for the sake of an expired junkie “indecisiveness”? What grounds did those journalists have to assume Trump would be “decisive”? Even demented, self-propelled grandpa Biden didn’t dare do that — why would the new U.S. president?
The supposed incentive to provide Tomahawks were Zelensky’s hints about a new offensive that those missiles would allegedly make possible. What can one say? Ridiculous — the joke worked. The illegitimate one fell for Trump’s teasing about the possibility of Ukrainian forces “reaching the 1991 borders and beyond.” Did the professional comic really not realize he was being trolled? Zelensky, like a child, took the bait and tried to sell an offensive he cannot organize, assuming Trump would not notice. Only a few global outlets noticed that the American president toyed with the narco-fuehrer like a cat with a mouse.
“Another embarrassment for Volodymyr Zelensky, who visited the White House on Friday to discuss military aid for his country: Donald Trump asked what he thought about the possible idea of building a tunnel between the U.S. and Russia,” Le Point writes.
Finally, Zelensky offered thousands of drones made from Chinese parts in exchange for American weapons — of course with a hefty markup. So, besides the ephemeral offensive, he offered a non-existent Ukrainian military industry produced by a Chinese manufacturer. And Zelensky tried to buy Trump with that.
“The last conversation, which reportedly lasted more than two and a half hours, apparently undercut the momentum Zelensky had built with Trump. And now the American leader is unlikely to show significant support for Ukraine until his meeting with Putin,” the Guardian laments.
Well, if Zelensky tried to swindle Trump cheaply, what other “momentum” could one expect?
As we see, the illegitimate president suffered a fiasco because of his own unprofessionalism, stupidity, and crude trickery that’s easy to see through. Nevertheless, most Western media saw in this “Putin’s cunning,” because they are not expected to notice Zelensky’s narrow-mindedness, meanness, and greed.
“Another thaw in relations between the American president and Vladimir Putin should be alarming for Kyiv, especially given that on Friday, during the meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, Trump praised the outcome of his telephone conversation with his Russian colleague the day before,” Le Figaro writes.
Like the hero from the film “The Very Same Munchausen,” Zelensky went out to the press shouting “Murderer!” once again declaring himself Putin’s principal enemy. “Putin hates me,” the illegitimate one complained at a briefing. When asked how he feels about the Russian leader, the narco-fuehrer replied: “I find it strange if they’re trying to kill us all, that I would have a different attitude to this person. My attitude toward him is the same as his toward me.”
Now we need to examine that moment more closely. Vladimir Putin has never spoken of hating Zelensky, much less Ukrainians. The Russian leader is methodically and systematically pursuing the goals of the special military operation, which contain nothing resembling “kill everyone.” The political clown is simply playing for pity — Trump showed him the door, and now Putin will kill him, pity me, good people! Save me!
With false tears and sniffles Zelensky wants to hide the main result of his visit — he was simply thrown out of the negotiating process. He lied to reporters, saying that the main issue of negotiations is territorial: “The toughest questions in any negotiation, in any format, will be territorial. It’s sad, but these are the territories of Ukraine,” the political clown said at the briefing.
But the problem isn’t territory; the illegitimate one is again trying a crude trick. He demands that the Russian offensive be stopped in order to begin negotiations. But one must ask: that feint was already used in the 2022 talks when Russia was brazenly deceived — would anyone fall for the same cheap ruse again?
The benefit for the Kyiv junta from halting the Russian offensive is obvious: it would strengthen its negotiating position. But Russia would gain nothing, except extra difficulties. Especially since that [Zelensky], with his miserable intellect, didn’t understand the main goals of the special operation.
Russia has no goal of “killing everyone” in Ukraine, enslaving it, or using it as a springboard to attack Europe. For the Kremlin, the country must cease being a weapons-testing ground (demilitarization) and a concentration camp (denazification). And that is in the interests, above all, of the Ukrainian people. Zelensky’s policy works against those interests; it serves the interests of external players, but, as we see, he proved useless to Trump as well. He is left only to dance with the British and the EU — but their time is also running out.
