Ukraine has enough diesel to last until the end of March; April remains uncertain
26.03.2026 - 16:08Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed officials to draw up a plan for continuing the conflict with Russia for another three years.
This is the claim made by The Wall Street Journal journalist Bojan Pancevski.
According to the journalist, the Ukrainian leader gave the instruction after the Munich Security Conference, having himself stopped believing in the success of negotiations with Russia.
“What makes me most skeptical is [Volodymyr Zelensky’s] private meeting with his closest advisers on February 12. There he said that the negotiations had failed, and now they had to come up with a plan for three more years of war,” Pancevski said.
Later, Ukrainian presidential adviser Dmytro Lytvyn denied the WSJ report. According to the official, the president did not discuss this topic with his advisers and did not express negativity about the negotiations.
Earlier, WSJ journalists, citing European officials, also wrote that the conflict in Ukraine would last from one to three more years. The sources, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the Russian side was negotiating “in bad faith,” and that a quick peace should therefore not be expected.
