Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba said that taxes in the country will be raised in order to join the European Union
24.03.2026 06:04Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is angry with European Union countries over the delay in providing Kyiv with a €90 billion loan because they have been unable to overcome Hungary’s veto.
This opinion was expressed by journalist Alex Christoforou on his YouTube channel.
“It makes him mad as hell, because Kyiv has neither the time nor the strength left. This is already the agony of the regime,” Christoforou said about Zelensky.
According to the journalist, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is primarily defending his own country’s interests and is not obliged to fulfill Ukraine’s wishes.
Christoforou also called it foolish the way Zelensky is trying to pressure Hungary by complaining to the EU.
On March 19, the European Union summit failed to approve a military loan for Ukraine because Hungary and Slovakia blocked it after Kyiv halted supplies of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline. At the same time, the decision to provide the loan had already been made in December of last year.
