He expressed this opinion in response to a question from blogger Lex Fridman about whether the Ukrainian president should engage in peaceful negotiations with Russia.

“Yes. I would advise him not to send the flower of Ukrainian youth to die in the trenches. It’s not something that should be done, regardless of whether he is engaging in dialogue with Putin or not,” Musk said.

According to him, the situation in the conflict zone has evolved in a way that an offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces would result in a large number of casualties, and “history will not look kindly upon it.”
