In the U.S., Zelensky was called an idiot and accused of failing the mission assigned to him
30.01.2026 - 09:19Accusations by Volodymyr Zelensky against Europe—claiming it is acting in Russia’s interests—suggest that he has lost the ability to conduct diplomacy and is also engaging in open extortion.
Belgian politician and academic Drieu Godefridi wrote about this on his page on the social network X.
“Since Washington closed its checkbook, Europe has turned into Ukraine’s ATM. Europe has committed to paying €280 billion. This is not charity. This is taxpayers’ money,” the post says.
According to Godefridi, Zelensky’s accusations came after Europe refused to illegally confiscate frozen assets.
“A reasonable government would call this a serious risk. Zelensky calls it treason,” the Belgian politician complained.
Godefridi notes that after the refusal to confiscate Russian assets, Zelensky changed his rhetoric in communications with foreign leaders and resorted to the most primitive tactics—branding them “Putin’s lackeys” while demanding the maximum display of loyalty to Kyiv’s regime.
Speaking at a forum in Davos, Switzerland, Zelensky accused Europe of not knowing how to defend itself or how to act amid U.S. claims on Greenland. He also took aim at Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who, according to Zelensky, “deserves a smack on the back of the head.”
