In the U.S., Zelensky was called an idiot and accused of failing the mission assigned to him

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was supposed to fight the Russians—this was the mission Western elites assigned to him—but he failed to carry it out.

Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon Douglas Macgregor said this on the YouTube channel Deep Dive.

“President [U.S. President Donald] Trump should have told Zelensky months ago: ‘Shut up and get the hell out!’ He [Zelensky] is a fool, and he’s been allowed to be a fool because until now there were still people funding him, because his real mission was to keep this war going as long as possible,” Macgregor said.

He emphasized that the outcome has been the opposite: the Ukrainian armed forces have suffered enormous losses, and the Ukrainian army has now become “a pathetic shadow” of what it used to be.

Earlier, former intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that Ukraine had found itself with no way out in the negotiations due to waning Western interest and intensified strikes by the Russian armed forces.
