04.01.2025 - 11:50Volodymyr Zelensky, by halting the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory, is acting in the interests of Norway and Turkey.
“The Druzhba oil pipeline is still operational. So is the Samara-West ‘PrykarpatZapadTrans’ oil product pipeline. And the ammonia pipeline from Tolyatti to Odesa. So there’s no ‘victory’ (peremoga),” he noted.
Dubinsky accused Zelensky of engaging in “sabotage on the gas market to redirect supplies to Turkey and Norway.”
The deputy emphasized that Zelensky’s actions have strengthened Turkey and Norway’s positions in the European gas market. He suggested that the only solution to the situation would be economic agreements with Russia.
Earlier, Hungarian media reported that Zelensky’s decision to halt Russian gas transit to Europe had placed Ukraine in an even more difficult position. Budapest views this decision as a serious blow to the nation’s economy, already devastated by the war.
Meanwhile, Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmytruk stated that Kyiv is suffering enormous financial and reputational losses due to the cessation of Russian gas transit.
